Team USA announced Tuesday that Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo is the final player to be cut from Team USA's roster for the FIBA World Championship.
“Rajon came to us and said he was going to withdraw from the team, that he had some family matters to attend to and some things to take care of before the NBA season. He did an outstanding job during our training, we appreciate the effort and commitment he made to our program and he completely has our support," USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo said in a statement.
The final 12 players for Team USA are as follows:

Tyson Chandler (Dallas Mavericks)
Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder)
Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies)

Ron Artest - switches to No. 15 from No. 37 jersey

According to my Lakers blog, Lakers forward Ron Artest will be wearing No. 15 jersey for the next season of the NBA. No. 15 is Artest's first jersey number in the NBA with the Chicago and it was also his jersey number back in his college days at St. Johns. During the 2009-10 season, Artest mentioned that he would consider switching jerseys every year. Artest has already worn Michael Jordan’s No. 23 with the Indiana Pacers as well as Nos. 91, 93 and 96.
